Play Atlantis on
Atlantis is Red Tiger’s first aquatic (or sub-aquatic should I say) slot in almost a year, the last being the superb Pirate’s Plenty: Battle for Gold back in August 2019. Instead of pirates and cutlasses though, this time we go searching for the riches in the lost city of Atlantis.
According to Plato’s Greek Legend, Atlantis was a thriving and exotic island Kingdom populated by a powerful, noble people who acquired great wealth thanks to the island’s rich natural resources. However, over time greed and power corrupted the inhabitants, infuriating the Gods who caused floods and earthquakes to submerge the island under the sea. Some 10,000 years later we’re pulling on our virtual wetsuits and flippers and heading down to see what lost treasure we can find among the reels of Red Tigers video slot.
This slot is played on a 5x4 reel set with 30 paylines and an RTP set at 95.76%. Red Tiger has amped up the variance and given it a 5/5 volatility rating along with a max win of over 5000x.
Atlantis isn’t overflowing with features but a wild reel with win multipliers is put to good use in both the base game and a highly entertaining free spins round. Watch out for extra spins and potentially eye-watering multipliers in the bonus round, where most of the big paydays lurk.
You can play Atlantis from €0.10 to €20 a spin from 7th May 2020.

Design & Symbols
Red Tiger has done an excellent job of recreating a pleasingly attractive underwater scene, rich in detail, vibrant in colour, with great animation and artwork, and a suitably tranquil and atmospheric soundtrack. The action takes place on the seabed where piles of gold and jewels lay on the soft white sands. Bubbles drift slowly up from the ocean floor. In the middle-distance underwater palaces can be seen through the hazy, aquamarine sea, some still complete, some in ruins. The gameboard is framed in marble by what was once presumably the entrance to a temple or palace. Symbols sit on cascading tiles rather than spinning reels.
Low value symbols are card suits, clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades. High value symbols are anchors, shells, a maritime telescope, jewel filled goblet, and a golden palace. The palace is the highest value regular symbol with 5 on a payline awarding 5x the bet size. A treasure chest triggers the wild reel feature, and the scatter is a GOLD SPINS symbol.
- Treasure Chest
- Gold Spins
The Treasure Chest triggers the wild reel. Only one Treasure Chest can land on anyone spin and it only activates the Wild Reel once it reaches the bottom of the reel. The Treasure Chest landing anywhere other than the bottom of the reel is held in place until all symbols have cascaded off the board, after which it falls to the bottom of the reel and expands. The Wild Reel comes with a win multiplier between 1x and 5x. The Wild Reel remains on the board until it forms part of a winning combo.
3, 4, or 5 scatters trigger 10, 13, or 16 Gold Spins. During Gold Spins Treasure Chests are more likely to appear to deliver Wild Reels. Furthermore, during Gold Spins the multiplier continues to increase by up to 5x with each new Wild Reel which appears. The Wild Reel multiplier does not reset during the bonus round. The Gold Spins scatter is replaced by a +Spins scatter during Gold Spins. Up to 8 more Gold Spins are added by each +SPINS scatter which lands during the bonus round.
Our Thoughts on Atlantis
Atlantis is a fairly simple game to understand. There are limited features, but those features work well together and provide ample entertainment. The Treasure Chest lands regularly during the base game which provides the player with plenty of small-medium wins during what can be a lengthy wait for the all-important Gold Spins round, which, let’s face it, is why anyone would play Atlantis.
The bonus round is capable of providing plenty of excitement if you’re able to put together a good run of Treasure Chests and land a few +Spins scatters. Of course, as with any game you’re bound to have the odd disappointing bonus round which is frustrating after the slot it takes to get there, but more often than not you’ll collect a decent win.
Atlantis is a visually beautiful game, a fun game to play, and with wins of over 5,000x the bet size possible, one with plenty to give. It’s not Red Tiger’s best, or most innovative game, but it does what it does very well.
