general casino talkCommunity Favourite slots???

I mostly play live casino and video poker, but I do like some slots:

Reactoonz - Never pays for me, but the visuals and gameplay is excellent

Heroes Hunt - Again, cool aesthetic and gameplay

Piggy Riches - Didn't think I'd like it, but the math on this one seems just right so I don't feel like I'm throwing money into a black hole when I play it

Mega Joker - Progressive Jackpot, good RTP

Razor Shark - Bonus is infuriating, but I'm always hopeful for a big hit

While I agree in principle, requiring all versions of the same slot to have the same RTP would likely result in one of two scenarios - RTP goes down across the board to the lowest common denominator, and perhaps eventually down to legal minimums, or slot developers make some superficial changes to get around the regulatory changes, like what they did with bonus buys.

The only way RTP goes back up is if players vote with their feet and stop playing on casinos offering lower RTP versions of slots.

I think casinos should be required to clearly show RTP of the game you're playing in a very visible place, without having to open a help file/screen.

As to why Casino Grounds promotes these casinos. its simple. A better Affiliate deal. How many times has Nickslots gone to play a slot at EuroCasino only for it not to be there? For me that would be annoying and I would play somewhere like videoslots or casumo who are known to have the widest selection of providers and games in the industry, but because he probably has a kick ass affiliate deal, he puts up with it.

Both Videoslots and Casumo have lowered RTP on a wide range of slots, so while the affiliate deals may be better at the other casinos you're referencing, it's separate from RTP.

Is it just me, who doesnt care about the RTP? @Slotspinner is right on point about this. It really doesnt matter.

Also, there is a casino site, called oshi.io where it shows every game's RTP before you play it which is kind of cool for players that want to know the RTP so much.

Nothing about slotspinner's post reads as if he doesn't care about RTP. He's saying that a casino could easily swap out a lower RTP version of the same game and players would have no way of knowing the change happened. Of course we should care, 2% difference in RTP is a lot. Would you play American roulette instead of European roulette if both versions were available? It's the same game, after all, just one has 2.56% worse RTP than the other...

Hey dude/gal, I must say I appreciate your opinion and I respect that you excercise your right to express it, sharing it with the community. That's simply epic.

Keep in mind that CasinoGrounds have reviews for both Lucky Dino, and Wildz. That, + what OnAirJannick said. There is no incentive for anyone to promote lower RTP slots or casinos that has a lower RTP because it just plainly sucks.

The fact that some slots have a lower RTP though isn't something the casino controls. That's on the game providers (I ain't 100% sure, so please kick me in the nuts if I am committing an epic fail with that comment, here)

With that said, you have a valid point that players need to be aware of, namely that you should always, always check the RTP of the slots, regardless of where you play. There's a saying when gambling online: "Trust, but verify first".

Casinos don't set the RTP math themselves, but slot providers offer different RTP versions of the same game, Reactoonz being one of them. Casinos do choose which version they offer their players.

Also, there is clearly an incentive to promote casinos with lower RTP slots as an affiliate, because your earnings are directly tied to your referees' losses. (whether that is a good business decision or not is another discussion) However, we all know who the worst offenders are, and Casinogrounds doesn't promote them or shady Curacao casinos, so that's not really the case here.

general casino talkCrazy Time - the worst game of all?

Crazy Time has the best math model of any casino game I've ever seen. It's designed to encourage bigger bets, make hits feel bigger than they actually are, and big wins are always only one spin away (you don't have to land a multi and then a premium segment in succession), making them feel more attainable. All the live wheel games also encourage fear of missing out that you don't usually get from non-progressive slots.

I had some nice hits a few weeks ago (500x, 280x, 200x, a few other big ones),  but it ripped me for several thousand in the week following, also consuming way too much of my time, so I'm cooling off from it right now. It's a very dangerous game - it's fun and it can pay big, but you really need self-control to be able to pull yourself away and not play at irresponsibly high stakes.

Many slot providers these days provide lower RTP versions of the same slot, but casinos can't just set their own RTP. They can only choose what's available off the shelf from the slot provider. The MGA also has a minimum RTP of 92%, which sets a lower limit. (Granted, I wouldn't want to play a 92% RTP slot)

I've also never heard of a LeoVegas slot that provided lower than normal RTP. I've encountered them on Casumo, which, among other things, has caused me to reduce my play there.

It's embarrassing for sure, but I'm not sure there's a good alternative. They may well have replaced the shaker with a backup after they (presumably) shut down the game after the malfunction. They can't just leave the game in limbo for an indefinite amount of time. If something similar happened at a land-based casino, I think they'd do pretty much the same thing.

The reason for SOW checks is due to AML regulations. To actually cover their backsides, it is necessary to trace funds as far back as possible, because pay statements or deposits on a bank statement don't provide enough detail on their own to show that the funds are from a clean source. It could also be argued that only conducting SOW checks before the first deposit allows money launderers to clean up their bank statements before establishing a relationship with a casino, and fly under the radar afterwards. That said, having a SOW check before making the first deposit would be better for the vast majority of players than the status quo.

90x Caxino 14/07/2020 13:31

I originally did some min bet spins through Casumo to see if I'd like the game. Didn't have high hopes after that, but I opened a Caxino account today and gave it a spin for real, triggered my first ever bonus in minutes and got 90x, which is disappointing considering I got up to an 11x multiplier in the bonus. Will put in some more spins later to see if I can get a big hit.

I also don't like the win screens on every little win, but I like the unique and the potential in the bonus.
