general slot talkWelcome to Crazy time! The odds are against you - once more

This is to all those, who consider playing Crazy time once again. Yeah, great game, you can win big - they say.

Below you see a picture of a run 6/29/2020 at 00:14. Luckily I had just entered and shortly after taking the picture, decided to leave and not playing it again. Hope they give that host a big raise.

Worst thing about the game is that the top slot is spinning while the wheel is spinning. Realistically, it is far from random, since an algorithm can easily predict where the wheel roughly ends so that big multipliers on bonus games may be avoided.

Btw, the odds of that run occurring again are astronomically difficult. Alone, that streak of 9 of 1s is modestly 0,00021% (39%^9), if my math is correct. Not the first, nor the last time I have seen 1s amount to way over 50% in the short history of 21 spins.

Last feedback of the game I would not publish, but let's give a streamer called Dunover / Dazza G, my final word, from the Youtube-link below, scroll to time 1:34:25 ;)

casinogrounds promotions[GIVEAWAY] Megaways Jack (IronDog Studios)

Here is my entry,

Played on LeoVegas, June 6 2020, 07:23 (AM, CET+1), payout: 586,90x. Basegame delivered 8 free spins.

Bonus buys on Royalpanda went badly, so I think I am done for now. Still somewhat up on the game.

For possible prize draw, some feedback to Irondog studios:

Firstly, I was not really impressed by this sequel to Pirate Kingdom megaways <tm>, during first session it looked like a fancy deadspin simulator with megaways <tm> using all the tricks of the trade of the megaways <tm> mechanic of blocker reels, follow-up dropdowns of same symbol etc. Furthermore, the game trolls way too much and after a while many players obviously will get annoyed. A few examples: 1. After one hit (3 symbols connect on first three reels), the harp gives an extra stalk, there is no point for this. Rather drop the beans down, even though the follow-up is dead. 2. Additional wilds, 9/10 times the wilds are added on last reel(s) with no chance to connect. Therefore my worst impression of the game is a trolling deadspin simulator with megaways <tm> and bonus buys that hardly deliver over 100x. The payouts of the bonus buys in this thread and mine appear very polarized=not worth the money.

This game carries most of the same bugs than Pirate Kingdom with some improvements. I will not list them all here because you definitely should have recognized them. Yet shortly, overlapping sounds, lags before a dropdown, spinning reels showing black blocks between and big wins in free spins are not always synchronized. And yes, I have one of the latest Lenovo laptops, really fast connection speed and played with Firefox and MS Edge.

Nevertheless, with the harp feature it is much better than Pirate Kingdom. For my taste, it feels too volatile, both the basegame and bonus buys appear to be out of balance. It would be an even better game with a lower maxwin, higher frequency of smaller wins or features. For instance, Pragmatic play has released Fruit Party with only a 5k maxwin - a very simple and boring game that has delivered. In case there is a sequel to Megaway Jack, decrease the volatility, lower the max win, perhaps lose the megaways <tm> (6X7 grid structure perhaps) and fix the bugs.

Heroes were more active this time, a really cool run at the dragon's lair, I guess this time they got the upper hand of the dragon.

casinogrounds promotions[GIVEAWAY] Deadwood (Nolimit City)

Here is my contribution and good luck to all! ?

Specifics of my biggest win:

  • Played on LeoVegas. Date: 1 May 2020
  • Base game normal bonus trigger, Gunslinger chosen and one spin connected all three wilds and I think one premium all the way.
  • Payout: 2744X

Some background, I have played Deadwood a lot, thousands of spins, 20-30 normal bonus buys (stakes 0,2eur-1eur, about 50%/50% hunter and gunslinger) and at least double the amount of bonuses via basegame. So far, I have missed the superbonus thrice. This was my second 1kX+ win; with a 2eur stake I hit a 1,1kX win by selecting Hunter-spins. From normal bonus buys only 4 (~10%) have delivered over the buy-in. Biggest win from bonus buys was 228x. Therefore, I had to stop buying bonuses to limit the more than expected quick loss of money, headaches and further aggravation (see footnote 1).

For feedback, below some pros and cons of the game subjectively from an experienced average player.

Pros:

  • An entertaining base game that is visually appealing with fluid graphics.
  • A suitable and well-made spin-off for Tombstone with more variation to the high volatility (Hunter-spins that also can deliver 1kX+).
  • Humoristic and straightforward game for a fast consumption - made for the hardcore players or heavy users that enjoy games with highest volatility available.
  • The base game offers three options to win big, basegame with the sheriff's stars including multiplier wilds connecting, bonuses and bonus buys. The potential is there and achievable. A good choice to adopt the idea of the feature to show other players' big wins.

Cons:

  • For some reason, I cannot mute the sounds (music) completely once the sounds have been allowed in the entry screen (with Firefox).
  • To me (an experienced player), a visually teasing game mostly with the delayed multiplier wild -dives and sheriff stars, attempting to lock the player in (obviously programmed so).
  • In short, too volatile versus the low expected max win (check CG's review). I would expect a much higher max win with this level of volatility (e.g. BTG's, Push Gaming's, DOA2 etc. games that have delivered). I expect somewhere this summer someone getting a 10kX+ hit, but if anybody looks at this forum thread (I am writing this May 7, 2:36am, publishing it later) there are not that many other massive hits during one week of hundreds of people running spins and buying perhaps hundreds of bonus buys.
  • To a smart average player, this is a hit-run game, similar to Jammin' Jars: run max 100 spins (or with a 100x budget), if the game delivers, get out. Otherwise, from experience, it will eat your money and soul with endless deposits 90% of sessions.
  • Bonus buy lacks entertainment value due to its quick pace: I buy a normal bonus for tens of euros and get a some tens of seconds of entertainment before the most of the money is gone (50%+ of my small sample size).
    • With normal bonus buys, expect an average of 10-20x, around 50% of my bonus buys (of 20-30 buys) have returned 10x, some even returned 0,25x (paid 0,1-0,5 eur of a bonus buy costing me tens of euros, see footnote 2).

The normal bonus buy option is basically just an Extra Chilli -wheel with one shot at it: you either lose your money straight (mostly), get some back, win somewhat or once-twice in a lifetime win massive. The normal bonus feature basically runs for one-spin-big-hit, all my big wins or the ones I have seen, have delivered only on one spin. Frankly, for the sake of other players, I do not approve of slots with such high volatility of normal bonus buys -features, that run with a fast pace going up to really high stakes.

Furthermore, Deadwood is considerably too volatile for my liking: it is a very dangerous game, similar (but better) than Barbarian Fury by the same provider. With danger, I mean danger to a small percentage of players thinking that the normal bonus buy would be worth it, or further buys could even cover losses. Due to this, I feel to take action in writing a bit longer feedback, even though I know, the business world never cares of ethical issues versus generation of shareholder value.

It is okay if the creator (provider) would cover the consequences instead of reflecting an obvious greed and just a "caveat emptor" (buyer beware). For me, along with Barbarian Fury & Harlequin, the creations of the provider do not appear healthy nor ethical at all anymore. I preferred Dragon Tribe -type games that are entertaining and can deliver a much more better run for the money. And yes, bad excuses, BTG and Blueprint have done the same (e.g. Extra Chilli, Vikings unleashed), yet the creations reflect the intentions of their creator at a certain time, always.

For the provider's information, for me (who has seen a lot), there is no paid marketing talk nor fancy brand manager -speech that can cover for the reality of greed that is communicated directly to the world. For an "ad hominem" (that idiots usually only weigh before using their limited brain capacity to assess is there any truth or facts), I am not a fan of any provider, and cannot be, plus cannot hype any product of a proven destructive and exploitative business: just a critical and concerned observer when it comes to that. Moreover, providers along with casinos are only capitalistic entities, whose single purpose is to extract the maximum amount of money continuously to their shareholders, nothing more. Imho, this trend of ultra-volatility will produce casualties, I am afraid many in the long-run. But, who cares of ethical or moral issues, as long as the digital communication platforms hype and boost the products for more returns benefiting those, who are usually already affluent and mostly worried of ROI.

Final feedback, Deadwood is a good game not denying that. It is suitable for a customer-segment that accepts high volatility along with accepting losing money quickly. I.e. it is for a small segment, and I expect the life-span of this game to be limited due to my understanding that this segment changes favourite games often and rarely become returning customers. My main problem is with the highly volatile bonus buy-option that is allowed with very high stakes. I am up on the base game, of which I am surprised, but my concern is for other players, especially those who think of fast results. I know personally several players to whom this game will cost tens of thousands of euros in the long-run or even short-one, in case they ever open the game. With an over 90% probability it is just a simple and fast transfer of money between parties (from customer to provider with one party benefiting in the process). From a distance, it looks like small slot providers that are in a stage of elevated growth, publish these types of games, the path of BTG and Nolimit appear similar. The reason why these types of games are made is very simple: successful business products in a competed landscape are mostly based on a proven record of results / profits. Otherwise, they would not have been made to waste resources or inputs of a commercial growing enterprise possibly with the intent of getting listed.

Footnotes:

1. I am thousands of X up on the game. Reason for me to play it a lot after its release is that according to mine and some other players' "fact-based" superstition: some providers' games are hot at their release and will get nerfed somewhat after the release. Therefore, tried to "strike some gold", successfully (this time).

2. I have posted a big win before in the forum, you can see it from the link below (with a reply from @Nolimit City Official, of which I was positively surprised, yet the reply is expected normal business talk). In that discussion, the provider says that bonus buys are of lower volatility. For me, it has been exactly the opposite. They know better with real data and I accept that, but I cannot trust anymore that the bonus buys would deliver anything.

big winsMega ball - mega win - I think I cracked the game

Mega ball delivered, price per ticket was 0,2eur, result 5000x+ or 200x+ for the 5e cost of 25 tickets.

First time I was playing it and did not really know what was going on. Well I am a bit senior person among the age average of this forum, old but not obsolete as Arnold would say. Autoplay was on, budget was 50e and it kept me break-even roughly until it hit.

Meanwhile I think I cracked the game, as a joke, after understanding how lucky this hit was. If you want to win, get an elderly person to play this megaball bingo for you?

Seniors bet perhaps small and conservative, they have the patience, seldom steam in the chat how rigged the game is and perhaps are more lucky than you.

epic wins 1000x and beyondDeadwood (Nolimit city) win

@Nolimit City Official

To my surprise, you read and respond to your customers, negative and positive and cranky old fellas like me. Appreciated and salutations. With online slots I have seen a few decades of playing online slots and in my opinion it is going worse (e.g. Deadwood). A few points below and an update of bonus buy results on Deadwood. Yes, I promised to stay away from the game, but got a bit tipsy (the wine took over), and you know how it goes. Gambled responsibly, happy for the outcome: never buying another bonus on Deadwood nor Barbarian Fury for that matter.

On 29/04/2020 at 16:24, Nolimit City Official said:

It's not "visually programmed to be rigged", that's not how we work

I have heard that before and typical response from a marketing department selling off or covering up for the brand. You are just doing your job. For other readers and for the record, let's get the facts straight: If one would ask one of your colleagues, the person or person(s) with a degree in psychology, they will say the near-hits are the ones hooking players in. Then let's have a look into your other games alongside games from Play'n Go and Scamatic Play (Pragmatic), they use same tricks of the trade as well. With this I mean intentionally programming in visual illusions of a near-hit (bonus/big win). Tricks of the trade, nothing more. People in your business would officially say "increases the entertainment value", the real reason is exploiting players' psychological and chemical responses (visual and audio stimuli to the brain) to extract more money to stakeholders (to whom by the way, nothing is ever enough). Research measuring the brain activity of players while playing suffices to complement this fact.

Back to my point "in my opinion it is going worse" with online slots, Deadwood is a pinnacle, thus a prime example. Worth mentioning is that it is a fun game, visually appealing, humoristic and straightforward game - made for the hardcore players or heavy users. The mechanics below the hood are mostly off regarding payouts to an average player. With my experience I would expect a max win of 50k+ X with this level of volatility. The race of high payouts and volatility has certainly played a role. But for an average player, it is a disappointment, just a quick fix to lose money 80-90+% of sessions. Instead to listening to high-rollers with little time and lotsa money (not always their own real money); listen to average players depending on your target segments. I would argue: games with lower volatility and decent max wins enjoy a longer life-span generating more returns via higher volumes of players in the long-run (low-stakes to mid-stakes).

Footnote: Deadwood is too bloody fast: 100x balance gone very quickly in base game. Then, I am a fool and decide to do a bonus buy: bonus buy feature is gone in less than a minute. Your business analysts will of course say slowing down the bonus feature will keep the players in the bonus too long= less money for you. Sarcasm, but factual in a business world.

Okay, to my final contribution to this post, the bonus buy volatility:

On 30/04/2020 at 11:40, Nolimit City Official said:

Generally speaking, then buying features is of a lower volatility than playing the game "normally".

Today's results from 6 bonus buys (0,4eur and 0,6 eur stake, chose 3 of each options): Shortly, buy-ins ate a chunk of the balance with insignificant returns. Only one (hunter-option) came close to the buy-in. And above you say "lower volatility", have a look below (screenshot) of the worst result in real life, gunslinger-option handsomely delivered two under 10x returns. This is why, next time I feel the urge to do bonus buys: I will try and find your bank account number, or company address and send you 80-90% of the cash directly to cut the middle-men and save me the time :). Sample size for this post stands (and finishes) at 12 bonus buys, one of which delivered over the buy-in: 153X (see above). RTP: dunno, possibly less than 20% with a "lower volatility" option of the game, according to you above.

P.S. About the lower volatility on bonus buys, as the wine was wearing down, decided to run a few hundred spins on the base game. Gunslinger delivered (in the end, the serious smart man with the plan was of course right @Skylined87), I will not disclose how much, because I feel obliged not to promote such a dangerous game (will post a picture some day). Yet, let's say quite a bit north of 1k X. Cashed most of it out (Leo won't be happy). 10% or a some hundreds of euros will go to booking a few sauna sessions along with the beers and the lot to friends, due to excellent public saunas being closed. Game delivered third-party benefits at least ;).

deadwood bonus buy.png

epic wins 1000x and beyondDeadwood (Nolimit city) win

Finally it happened, 1000x+ win on Deadwood after a -150x session, during which I managed to get 4 bonuses, all of which returned under 15x (Gunslinger). I will not disclose, which bonus I chose, but just a hint: sorry mister (Skylined87). this time you were wrong, even though you know it all and what you don't know, nobody needs to know. ?

Word of caution, gamble responsibly especially with this slot, it can rip it all in a matter of minutes and brainwashes you to stay because those programmed near-hits. During base game of my session, all draws for the second Sheriff's star missed along with getting stuck with those visual near-hits that obviously are programmed in (unethical). In short, it is a dangerous and cruel game and should be avoided by any sane gambler. It is just a hit-run game, "have a few spins there, if you win, leave it or it will take it all and more fast". Some arguments below to back this up.

After this win I decided to try out the normal bonus buys (purchasing price around 70x) with stakes 0,4e-0,8e (2 on each stake to try out both bonuses):

0,4e: Attempt 1: 11x (Gunslinger); Attempt 2: 58x (Hunter)

0,6e: Attempt 1: 153x (Hunter); Attempt 2: 2x (Gunslinger, which equals to 1,2 euros, I seriously thought this is a joke)

0,8e: Attempt 1: 22x (Gunslinger); Attempt 2: 12X (Hunter)

Sample size is small, but this portrays the normal gameplay pretty well considering my previous bonus buys and sessions. Furthermore, I have played it now some thousands of spins delivering some dozens of free spin features including a few 100x+ features with 2 misses of the top feature. I think I am done with the game, got my money back with some extra to cover Nolimit's other shenanigans i.e. the nerfing of Barbarian Fury that cost me lots plus a few mouses (not pet mouses).

To: Nolimit (in case you are listening):

Please stop making these poorly delivering and bad games especially flavoured with a 700x bonus buy. Considering and comparing the miniscule potential of a 13k X max win of Deadwood (close to Bonanza's), Deadwood is too volatile, visually programmed to be rigged, and therefore not entertaining in short- or long-run. For me, it would be easier to find your bank account number and send you 70-80% of expected deposits directly or ship it in the snail mail. ;)

P.S. One of my top3 games is your Dragon Tribe that delivers better than Bonanza without Bonanza's 300-600 average requirement of spins for free spins that returns an average of 50 times the stake. Instead, make a sequel to Dragon Tribe with one free spins feature (requiring 4 scatter trigger) perhaps with multiplying sticky wilds and ditch the X ways.

casinogrounds promotions[GIVEAWAY] Survivor (Big Time Gaming)

Below is my contribution (a bit short of 300x), good luck to everyone. This is the best I've got, but will update in case I get a better one.

Firstly, for the likely raffle feedback to BTG with some pros and cons.

In overall, it is a good game, structure is a bit confusing for an average player, but over time my little brain adjusted. Base game runs well, gives decent returns with multipliers and from this thread of the forum, it can give a big win unexpectedly. Visuals are okay, but sound bugs and gets boring over time with the howling and need to switch to spotify.

Pros:

Volatility seems lower than most of your new games with no heartstopper or bonus buy gimmicks. Therefore, it appears to be a better game for wagering to an average player. Runs surprisingly smoothly with many elements in view also on mobile. A solid production imho.

Cons:

The biggest one really is, that daily since its release, my biggest concern is not how much money am I investing in hopes for a good return. Rather, does the game work (both on laptop and mobile). If the game does not start, it kicks me out after a few spins. In the variety of provided messages include (translated): "cashier error", "authentication error" and some "config error" followed by a string of code. In order to fill my rage meter, it kicks me out, restarts, kicks me out, restarts, which looks like a perpetual machine in the slot world. Please test it sufficiently in real life next time.

Secondly, a point that bores me plus starts to fill my rage meter, occurs when the multipliers are increased but there are no wilds in sight, waste of time. On the other hand, the heartstopper sound does not appear when there are two scatters in view waiting for a possible third one from a pot drop-down. A bit sloppy on the detail, in all due respect.

Thirdly, the BTG win themes are played with 20+x wins, yet when retrigger is reached, the slow count for more spins is skipped. A bit sloppy.

Fourthly, the game is a bit simplistic in the end. For a more slot adventure-setting there could have been a small, but reachable collection feature. For instance: collection of those inactive multiplier pots to fill up a meter in order to increase a multiplier when the free spins are triggered. Definitely not a royal mint 2000+ spins gimmick, but a small one (+1 and/ or only +1 multiplier in 300 spins average) for an extra incentive for a returning customer (player). Furthermore, for the sequel, should there be one, include abovementioned and sticky wilds or an option for free spins with sticky wilds (multiplied sticky wilds even better)2130232754_survivorbtg.png.46d0776cad6b94e989116309119c21a5.png.

casinogrounds promotions[GIVEAWAY] Gorilla Gold Megaways (Blueprint)

Here is my contribution (150x), the game is too volatile for my taste, yet it returned my stake. For the feedback a few points below.

Overall the game is an interesting extension to the megaways <tm> shuffle running with several screens (slots 1-4). After playing it for around 3 hours it falls a bit short on expectation due to the fact that it is only about the super bonus, nothing more. There could have been a super bonus with less spins that could trigger something interesting or when triggering two screens simultaneously for a combined guaranteed super bonus. Dunno, if beforementioned exists in the game.

Good game nevertheless. Only problem is that the new concept confuses possibly players how much the total stake is versus volatility. Normal free spins return pretty much nothing.

Pros:

Fluid and fast especially with the turbo spin button furthermore on mobile too.

Runs pretty okay in base game and shows that mystery symbols can deliver something in a bonus with multipliers.

Offers a decent run for the money on lower stakes, yet in the long run it is all about the super bonus.

Cons:

The sound department obviously has not done really much for this game, the same sounds of other games run on this one too. Getting a bit boring.1936211033_gorillagoldmegaways6.thumb.png.a8233ef600252cf0dac66f569c1f553b.png

big winsRoyal Mint heartstopper big win

Finally royal mint delivered a decent win on heartstopper. This was my third try, previous ones paid 20-40x. This one over 800x, although 5 spins at start were deadspins. I got lucky to hit the max megaways for numerous and continuous hits increasing the multiplier to 30+x. It could have been better tho, especially seeing the red gems and purples stacking up, they really were blockers, looks predetermined.

This one was collected during 6-8 sessions during three weeks, each time I chose to leave the game if I am 50x down or 100x up while collecting. No point in grinding it, since it took me over 2000 spins. Roughly I ended up 500x up on this run, nevertheless, previous ones were a loss of course.

royal mint heartstopper.png

casinogrounds promotions[GIVEAWAY] Giza Infinity Reels (ReelPlay)

Here is my contribution, I guess I am in for the raffle. Feedback shortly below.

This game was an improvement to El Dorado. The graphics are much smoother and faster to use. One annoying thing is that spinning manually after each win requires the player either to wait or click twice for a faster run. Altogether it is a simple game to play, nothing special in it really, good for fast consumption with the bonus buy. My bonus buys (10-15 in total) were never above the price, the win below is from normal play, therefore I would really not buy bonuses on this one later.

Pros:

Simple execution of a game and fast to play with sound graphics, at least to me

For a player it is easy to learn what to seek and how the game pays

Cons:

Nothing really special in this game, unfortunately it will not necessarily have a long life-span amongst players. I would not recommend joining the "highest x-win" contest with Netent or BTG. Games can be simple and they can deliver smaller maxwins and still be entertaining.

Free spins feature offers always too many deadspins, I guess I had 30 bonuses so far and usually 5 or more are deadspins. Quite high volatility could be amended down due to relatively small max win.

casinogrounds promotions[GIVEAWAY] Montezuma Megaways (WMS/SG Digital)

Thank you for the good promo.

The image below represents the biggest X win during 1536 spins on varying stakes, total RTP of sessions 81%, 10 bonuses triggered. 8 out of 10 returned max 50x (usually the bonus guarantee). Based on this run I would not play it again without an incentive (such as this promotion) and the fact that it will eventually be nerfed.

The game in overall reminds me too much of BTG's Donuts. Nevertheless, the bonus guarantee and last spin win multiplier are appealing. Otherwise, the game is only about triggering the bonus. The basegame offers nothing to a random player spinning 100-200 spins for an obvious bonus guarantee around 80% of sessions. I expect the lifetime of this game to be very short, in 6-12 months nobody will really remember it nor play it again.

Some feedback to the publisher SG Interactive:

I have a long history of playing different games on varying stakes in online gaming.

Firstly, Raging Rhino and the original Montezuma used to be my favourites until the notorious HTML5 update. After that, both of those games became unplayable since best return realistically became the bonus guarantee. Obviously you can see a drop during that incident, unless it was intentional nerfing to lose players and income to your company.

Montezuma megaways however is better than Raging Rhino megaways, which offers very low entertainment and realistically low expected returns. Perhaps with Rhino the goal was to offer a game with high X returns, yet the cost for a game publisher is that the lifetime is short in a competitive landscape. In this respect the originals were seriously good games that were played for years until the HTML5 update.

Pros (+) and cons (-) shortly below:

- Game is still buggy and laggy on different browsers

- The wheels on spins and multipliers are heavily rigged against the player: it visually appears equally hard to land on a high amount than a low amount. All 10 bonuses I triggered, were either 12 or 14 spins, therefore my trust in the game is gone. Furthermore, the wheels should visually display the realistic outcomes equivalent to a roulette wheel (e.g. lower amounts in Montezuma should cover larger segments on the wheel).

- Basegame offers nothing to the player

+ The bonus guarantee with the last spin win multiplier are the best features

+ Visually the megaways and the assisting symbols are a sound solution to the megaways structure

About
general slot talkWelcome to Crazy time!

In case there is a sequel to Megaway Jack, decrease the volatility, lower the max win, perhaps lose the megaways <tm> (6X7 grid structure perhaps) and fix the bugs.

casinogrounds promotions[GIVEAWAY] Deadwood (Nolimit City)

@Nolimit City Official
