Video Slot Review – The 100K Drop - Red Tiger Gaming
Welcome to the show! And welcome to The 100K Drop from Red Tiger. If you’re located in Great Britain and have a thing for game-shows, you have probably heard of this channel 4 tv-show.
Red Tiger has translated this show into a beautifully designed video slot with five reels, three rows and a unique bonus game, taking us directly to the game show. Red tiger says this game has a high volatility, but with a maximum payout of 2000x the bet, we’re putting this slot in the medium to high variance group of slots. With a fairly high frequency of the bonus symbol and smaller wins during the base game, the RTP is kept at 96.14%.
Design and Symbols
Red Tiger has been true to the game show when designing The 100K Drop.
The highest paying symbol is a safe stuffed with cash. Other symbols we find is the hostess of the show which acts as the Wild Symbol, suitcases filled with money, and card symbols as the lower paying symbols. The design of buttons and menu is the standard Red Tiger design, making it very easy to recognize the developer.
During the base game, there are no sounds except for the spins. That said some genius has been working on the sounds during the bonus game. - Whenever you do the correct selection, you hear the cheering from the crowd, exactly like you would have if you were watching the show.
Special Features in The 100k Drop slot
In regards to special features, there’s not a lot to choose from in The 100K Drop. What we have is the Bonus symbol, which triggers the bonus round, A wild symbol and the gamble feature enabling you to gamble all your winnings.
Albeit a bit lacking in quantity, the quality of the feature we find is very good, and we love the new take on the bonus game.
The 100K Drop Bonus Game
The main special feature we find is the 100K drop feature which is triggered by the bonus symbol.
When three bonus symbols land on the reels, the reels change, and you are presented with four tables. You always start with 2000x your bet and then have four rounds to try and salvage as much as possible of your winnings.

- The first round, you will be able to place your funds in three different spots. As soon as all your funds have been divided into the different spots, a countdown timer starts before the round begins.
- Three of the four spots will drop the winnings out of the game, and you keep whatever is left in the spot that did not drop the funds.
- Next round you have one less spot to fill, and this continues till there are only two options left.
- You keep whatever you are able to salvage the last round.
The Gamble Feature
You have two options in the Gamble feature in 100K Drop. A card will be presented, and you can choose to either guess colour or the card face.
Depending on your selection, you can either double or quadruple your winnings.
Our Thoughts On 100K Drop
When first opening the game, I was not sure if I would like it. First of all, we are promised a High volatility, however with a maximum potential of 2000x, we would rather say it is a Highly volatile slot, pushing medium.
That said, I was very positively surprised when trying out the bonus game. I really enjoyed it, and although all wagers were with Play-Money, I still got that butterfly feeling when waiting for those trap doors under my money to open.
It’s nice to see video slot developers give justice to these licenced games, and I’m definitely going give the similarly named game show a try when it airs next time.
