I think once you're an adult you make your own decisions in life. I agree some can be more vulnerable but then they're the 1s who should seek help. A streamer does not make you tune into Twitch or YouTube! And if you're comparing the likes of smoking to gambling (stupid) then is it the cigarette companies fault you smoke? or maybe you saw a streamer smoke and want to blame them.. why have you joined a forum based on casino streamers if you believe they are responsible? Makes no sense. I do however agree that maybe YouTube and twitch should have some sort of parental control for kids who can easily watch Hey friend! I dont know where i blamed somone ells than me here? Link to comment

Still, there are people of the opinion it is absolutely fine to advertise gambling. Just like cigarettes, right? Oh wait,.... Go do something about it then instead of whinging on here, which is, funnily enough a "Gambling and Streaming Forum" that advertises as such. p.s. There's probably people who smoke here too. Gambling on the other hand is controlled by the majority of people. Yes, you will have those that can't control it but it is not a problem created by the advertiser. Adverts are strictly regulated and none glamourise it. You say gambling is controlled by the majority of people. Let's say this is true, I haven't seen the reports you are sitting on, the change in behaviour, going from small stake gambling, to chasing losses and playing way above your limit can come sudden. Exposure to gambling can be enough for some to trigger a compulsive gambling behaviour. And what do you mean be strictly regulated? Are the banners and messages on streams, the recommendations from streamers and more, strictly regulated, and if so, by whom? To be clear, I gamble myself, and enjoy it, but I feel the negative sides about gambling should be mentioned. Link to comment

Off course you will always have more positive than negative, but I don't feel it's overlooked. Link to comment
Lokus Posted 4 April, 2018 Share Posted 4 April, 2018 Buddy i feel you, the only once winning on online casinos are affiliates and small time gamblers, the more popular streamer the more he wins. They Say its due to bonus money. I Say otherwise. Good of you to post a warning for everyone else. Link to comment

I have known casinos (Casumo being one of them) closing affiliate accounts for not complying to these advertising standards. Examples of regulations are that adverts may not glorify gambling, have childish/cartoonish themes, state you can make money from gambling long term etc. You can read it yourself here: https://www.asa.org.uk/resource/gambling.html where you can find a link to a PDF document with the requirements.
