Tour de France Bets

Recommended Posts

Finally its time for the biggest cycling race of the year. The tour de France! This year we are up quite a lot and of course I am hoping to continue the winning.

Most stages I will give away tips on this forum. All the bets I post I bet myself. For the first stage and the CG I already have some bets in mind but I will wait a bit to post them.

Overall (yellow)

Adam Yates @ 60.00 1u

Covid is gonna be a problem, Yates already had some weeks ago. He said in an interview that he can battle with the Slovenians in good form. Also he is simply underrated, he has a fair chance of winning and with these odds we simply cant let him go.

Stage 1 (ITT)

Time trail, winner will be Ganna or Van Aert but i dont see a lot of value there. Mathieu van der Poel on the other hand should be alright here. Winning might be to much but a top 3 looks possible.

Mathieu van der Poel Top3 @ 4.50 1u

My bets in a sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sf5bt2jJ_BwXoP9TTCZa8P4yKHmaXPZ8/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=112911125651900510298&rtpof=true&sd=true

Stage 2

Fabio Jakobsen @ 2.25 1u

So many thing went wrong today: Crash with 20kms to go, Lampeart leading out for the wrong person, Jakobsen getting pushed my Sagan, poor cornering and starting the sprint from to far back. Still Jakobsen wins, tomorrow everything will go right and the result will be the same, Jakobsen will win again.

We are now  in the red, we need a bit of luck but i am sure we will find it soon

Stage 8

Bauke Mollema @ 40.00 0.25u
Michael Matthews top 3 @ 4.50 0.25u
Victor Lafay @ 67 0.25u
Warren Barguil @ 90 0.25u

We combine escape specialist with a "save" bet if it turns out to be a sprint.

I dont like betting more then 1 unit each stage but the teamleader of Taco van der Hoorn said he will be in the front group today. With his 2nd place his form is very good and the odds are good aswell so it would be a same to not bet on him. This time I go a little safer.

Stage 8 Added:

Taco van der Hoorn EW @ 126 0.25u (2x0.125u)

For those who like to gamble: Straight up is good aswell, I would have bet that if I was in the green. Only top 3 for 35.00 is also good but he is a very smart rider and said that only 1st place counts for him.

Stage 9

Simon Geschke top 3 @ 12.25 0.2u
Philippe Gilbert top 3 @ 101 0.2u
Tim Wellens EW @ 81 0.2u (2x0.1u)
Warren Barguil EW @ 35 0.2u (2x0.1u)
Jakob Fuglsang EW @ 19 0.2u (2x0.1u)

Full on breakaway bets. All these guys are in good form and should try to enter the breakaway.

Sundays stage we did not end up with a win. I think the bets where good, all of the 5 riders tried to join the breakaway, only two ended up in the break (Geschke and Gilbert). The winner, Bob Jungles was never on my radar, 2 years without any result and now he wins a Tour de France stage out of nowhere, great job Bob, you will be on my radar again.

Stage 10

Jonas Vingegaard top3 @ 8.00 0.20 u
Andreas Kron EW @ 26.00 0.3u (2x0.15u)
Warren Barguil EW @ 80.00 0.3u (2x0.15u)

Thats it for now. Might add one last bet tomorrow if the read more interviews.
