Original Jase Posted 23 November, 2017 Share Posted 23 November, 2017 Here's an interesting link to new rulings coming into effect by the CMA (competition and marketing authority) and UK gambling commission. I was given this link by the UK gambling commission after inquiring about a misleading promotion sent to myself. Also the ASA ruled in my favour. The video at the bottom of link is also an interesting watch they told me http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/news-action-and-statistics/news/2017/Time-to-take-action-on-unfair-terms-says-Gambling-Commission.aspx Link to comment
NudgeShuffle Posted 24 November, 2017 Share Posted 24 November, 2017 Good post. Will be interesting to see what conclusions they come to once they are complete. If consumer law has been broken then I wonder what the position will be in regards to retrospective action. This could the gamblers equivalent of the PPI scandal. It's also two fingers at those who choose to defend the casinos at every opportunity by saying "you should have read the terms and conditions". They have also contributed to this problem in my opinion by justifying the actions of the casinos who may very well and likely will be found in breach of UK consumer law. Link to comment
