Self Exclusion Request?

Hi Guys,

I'd be interested to get your opinions on this please.

In November 2016 i sent an email to 21 Casino via their website to request an immediate Self Exclusion.

Shortly after, i received confirmation of this from a lady named Ella. (Attached)

Now i have recently discovered i have been playing at sites such as Spinland, Miami Dice, Dream Jackpot etc. All of which hold the same license as 21 Casino which i should be excluded from.

After finding this out, i contacted 21 Casino to be informed that they have no such request for self exclusion and my account is only merely blocked...

They seemed to brush my complaint and seemed quick to encourage me to activate a new Self Exclusion request.

Firstly, i'll completely admit i have a serious gambling issue. This is now under control but at the time when it got particularly bad (November 2016)i took proactive approaches to excluding myself from every active site i hold an account with. As i'm sure most of you can be aware, a gambler will always find a way and hence i did by creating new accounts only a few weeks later with the sites mentioned above.

I feel this has completely violated the 'Responsible Gambling' rules set and feel outraged that they have brushed off my request and essentially ignored it with such a clear subject title of the email (Self Exclusion Request)

I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on this.

I'm also fully aware that i can blame no one else but myself for signing up to these other sites but after seeing the stated "Self Exclusion from this site will also exclude you from all other sites using this license" couldn't be any clearer..

Thanks Guys,

Hey @Parkyy!

World of self-exclusions is a messy one. I think UKGC will soon have a global self-exclusion system in place, which will effectively mean that if you self-exclude on any of UKGC site, you'd be self-excluded on others as well (if you're UK resident). Apart from that, some casinos with shared license don't have a good communication between them.

However in your case, it seems your intentions weren't stated clearley - i.e. I want to close my account due to gambling problems. So instead they just closed your account, with option of re-activating it at any time.

Thats my view on it anyway :)
