Redbet Attempting to Steal 100 euro deposit - Signed up through Daskelelele

Very bad experience with redbet.

I signed up to redbet through Daskers link last week. I deposited €100 euro and took the bonus. Two days later my account was blocked. They asked for KYC. I sent all this in and they accepted everything (ID, POA, Bank cards) then they asked for a selfie. I sent this in (Impossible to take alone and I have MS). They then asked for ANOTHER selfie and ANOTHER POA. I’ve told them no as it’s ridiculous and very difficult for me especially in lockdown. I’m KYCd at their sister site Mr Green months ago.

I’ve requested the €100 deposit back as have not played with it and they are refusing. I have checked with MGA and EU consumer law and a they are obliged to return my money to the method I used to deposit as they are refusing me their service and I have now declared I will not be playing with them. Its disgusting behaviour and could you imagine if you went to a clothes shop, gave the cashier 100 for a dress and they then refused the dress. Its theft.

Jack hasnt really helped and not really responding to emails now which is very disappointing as have been a big fan but am losing all faith in casino streamers. He did suggest posting here to see if some people could help me.

Hi Shirley, As I wrote to you in the emails I have asked my affiliate manager at MrGreen to look in to it and they said you need to fully verify. If you are not verified they cant push the money. I have done everything I can from my end. I don't work at Redbet and I am not in charge of the verification or anything. I am an affiliate and streamer and I cant help you with anything if you still need to verify your account.

Hope someone at CG can help you with this, Thanks

Sounds like another casino with horrible/unreasonable KYC requirements. If they are not satisfied with what the customer provided and the customer is uncomfortable to provide further documents and would prefer to take their service elsewhere, they should refund the deposit to the original method given.

I would suggest you call your bank and request for a chargeback of the 100 euros and provide your reasons why.

Affiliates really are parasites this is a perfect example he’s got his money through your sign up and he probably couldn’t give a shit about you now never sign up through there links

on another note casinos really need to stop asking for so much personal information and as a previous poster has said if your not comfortable with providing more details they should just refund you the money

@Daskelelele I signed up to this site as they are on your website and you recommend them and Im a long time watcher. It is not right to now simply say you cannot do anything once I have signed up? I think you should reimburse me the 100 euros redbet are attempting to steal.  You saw all the KYC I sent as I sent you screenshots, IM ALSO VERIFIED ON MR GREEN. You are aware a second selfie I CANNOT provide due to my MS and living alone and I really have no other POAs (I SENT THEM A BANK STATEMENT! PLUS CARD PICS) . You are aware im disgusted with their attitude towards me, ive not played with the money as they blocked the account and I have now requested a refund and account closure. I have not played with the money so there are no AML concerns and under EU consumer law redbet are obliged to refund me. I go back to my above example or imagine going into a restaruant paying 100 euros in advance for a meal and then the owner refuses you any food but will not refund you?

This thread highlights a casino attempting theft and an affiliate attempting to absolve themselves of any responsibility. If Redbet were refusing you your CPA money or Rev Share money Im sure you would do all you could to recoup it.

It's illegal what they are attempting to do. Its completely in breach of consumer rights.

I attempted the bank but they said they cannot do this as it's not fraud and I need to go down the avenues for consumer protection and consumer rights.

Always try your very best to fully verify before making a deposit and keep yourself right, can you not prop your phone up and set the timer and take a selfie this way, not great from the casino but insist on verification before you make a single deposit, good luck and I'm sure ul get it resolved.

Before I deposited I checked on chat and they said verification was not necessary at this stage.

I have sent in the following -

Passport, Passport Selfie (Accepted by Leovegas 7 months ago and ecopayz).

Bank statement

Card pictures.

They requested another POA and another selife, i have tried your method but my camera just isnt clear enough due to how far I stand away from the phone when I do this.

Ive not played with the money and have requested the account to be shut and refund given. Im not comfortable giving them any more private information and have been advised that they need to refund the money as they are currently committing theft and breaching consumer law.

Does anyone know how to go about recouping this money and which avenues to pursuit? @Daskeleleleunfortunately seems reluctant to see this in anyway as his responsibility.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

All my KYC docs were sent. They have asked for more documents and things I cannot provide. The vendor is refusing the customers business and attempting to steal my money? I have not played with the money so there are no AML concerns. The casino is simply attempting theft and in line with Consumer law they are obliged to refund me. I have sought legal advice on this today. Ive been advised to go through EU resolution body and start EU court action.

@DaskelelelePlease provide me with your registered business address as I will be including you in my claim.

I will also be lodging a complaint with the ADR and NEVER watching @Daskelelele again.

Also, I have a hard time believing that they are trying to "steal" your money. The 100 euro will be on your account even after armageddon and in the time it took you to send documents and create this thread they have already made thousands of euros in revenue from their games alone.

Hey again, considering you have ms I think you are going to give yourself alot of stress and worry over something that can be solved, all the casinos are the same with these selfie docs, surely you have some help around the house with your illness from a family member or carer, can they not take this picture for you and save yourself the stress and worry and court fees and such that will I'm sure cost more than 100, it's tough one for daske as you just ain't verified and he can't force them to verify you or do anything until you have an account that is working and fully verified, gl and don't stress, I'm sure you will get this sorted 🙂

So you have refused to send the requested document for KYC? Good luck

No. Please read the thread properly before contributing.

I have sent in passport, selfie passport, card pics and bank statement (Enough to verify me at their sister site months ago) The casino then asked for more which I cannot provide as have no other POAs.

The casino have confirmed they are attempting theft as are refusing the refund. I have sought the legal frame work on this and they are governed by a consumer law. They cannot refuse a refund if the customer has not used their service and stated they will not be doing so. That is the exact situation here. Casinos attempting to site a customer needing to complete KYC in this case are completely wrong and willingly so.

Due to lockdown my support network has been greatly reduced. I did attempt another selfie but it was rejected due to being too blurry. At this stage the casino has refused to verify me, however as a customer I have not used their service and requested a refund and they are refusing. This is against the law.

Im trying to find out which avenues to go down in addition to the courts with the casino and @Daskelelele(Who has ignored all emails now).

Im hoping this thread acts as a warning and a guide as there seems to be a lot of misconceptions about what to do if a casino refuses your KYC documents. I didn’t realise until this week they are governed by EU consumer law and actually what they are doing in this case is theft and there are means to prosecute.

It is all ridiculous and has caused unnecessary stress.

I agree the Casino may be at fault but I don't think it has anything to do with @Daskelelele to be honest. He only has contacts there that he can ask to follow up on your issue, he doesn't work there himself.

As such you should be dealing with the Casino with your complaints. Don't complain about Dask not helping when he has helped as much as he can.

I disagree. I think affiliates should be in part liable in cases like this. @Daskelelelehas simple tried to disengage and take no responsibility however he affiliates with the casino and is more then happy to take his cut....Also Do not tell me who I can and cannot complain about.

Never played at NYSpins. It seems really odd to me that they don't just give you your money back.

Even if you were in the wrong(not saying you are) I'd give you the money back just so you bugger off(it's a small amount and not worth the aggravation)

The casino should just say "sorry, we have been unable to verify your account and can therefore not enter into a business agreement, here is your money back, sorry for the inconvenience." Polite, apologetic, professional and beyond reproach.

I wonder if the affiliation link has caused this to a degree. Some links give a flat fee to the affiliate per signup, perhaps that payment has been taken/made and it causes some kind of accounting discrepancy which is causing the casino to need to get the account verified to move forward in the matter. Pure speculation of course.

Why so much drama over a small amount, which wouldn't hit any kind of triggers, is beyond me.

Why not take this up with your card provider instead?

I have. They stated nothing can be done as it's not fraud and to take it up with consumer group or EU court.

Update to those interested.

Have sent payment off and papers against Redbet to be processed in EU court.

Have filed a complaint with the ADR.

Have requested @Daskeleleleregistered business address twice on email and once on here. He has ignored all emails.

Redbet have ignored all emails and requests for my refund.

Hopefully this highlights to players just what you mean to the affiliates...

To update anyone interested and again to expose the true nature of casinos and @Daskelelele and other streamers.

@Daskelelelehas ignored all emails requesting his registered business address so I can take action against him. If he felt he was not liable why not comply?

Redbet have ignored all legislation from EU consumer law and are refusing my refund.

Current complaint is with IBAS who are assisting me as Redbet have refused to supply a dead lock letter.

Have filed EU court papers and paid the fee to get things moving against redbet. Ive also requested compensation.

@shirleytaney ^^ Good luck with your endeavours in getting your money back.

Things are getting pretty gritty now unfortunately, this matter should have been a case of just simply returning the deposit and case closed, I really don't understand how summit so small has turned into a massive issue, not good, I don't know if daske has business address as streams from home and I wouldn't be giving anyone my home address but this has got out of control now.
