Pokerstars do them aswel as nickslots had one running and he's UK based

Yeah but pokerstars was different. He got the 5k because he won the tournament with other streamers iirc and its just a giveaway where anyone with an account can join.

My point is why other casino sites like the one related to CasinoDaddy (aboutslots) are able to host giveaways like the one in this post where they post highest X win and/or random prize for qualifying (minimum X)/participating. I've been through their requirements and if you can play the slot on the casino (seen them use CasinoEuro, Mr Green, PartyCasino just to name a few) then you are eligible to participate.

Pragmatic literally has daily prize giveaway if you roll a minimum 0.50 gbp on their slots and their weekly is rewarded based on highest X. Pokerstars dream race or other leaderboard giveaways could be seen the same way. Heck even Leo is spamming every week with Bet X get X spins. You could argue these are hosted on the casino itself so its different but it goes back to point 1 as to why other legit casinos endorsed by aboutslots are able to host their giveaways there without restrictions. What makes them different from Leovegas?

edit: just saw skylined's reply after posting. So I take it its just Leovegas excluding the countries without specifically giving a reason then which could either be the way they 'interpreted' the 'guidelines' or just the fact they no longer want to cater to the UK market or perhaps are planning an exit from those markets so theres no point to promote it there further (many casino/bookies left the UK recently, GIG chain is one of them where ONLY rizk remains out of the 10? casinos that i recall). I'd lean towards the latter because i dont see any other casino removing leaderboards. In the past 3 months, I've joined Pokerstar races, BetVictor, Pragmatic chain leaderboards (multiple casinoes), Evo blackjack leaderboard, Betfair/Paddypower PlayTech leaderboard just to name a few that i can recall, theres definitely no shortage in the UK.

also its funny if thats the way they interpreted the guidelines because 80% of the emails i get from them are offers enticing players to bet/spend more (20% are withdrawal approved)

This has nothing to do with what you wrote above and the example I gave was just that - example and not a fact. The point I tried to give was that we will comply with Casino's compliance teams when it comes to promotions. If they say this and this country is excluded and cannot participate then the rules in the promotion will state that. Maybe a better fact like Sweden would be in place: A customer can only receive welcome bonus and no further bonuses can be credited to customer's account. In this case if player from Sweden won and his account would be credited with money from the promotion, it would be deemed as breach of compliance rules set by SGA.

Please keep in mind that the end result of the game promotions is that should you receive your prize you will get it on your casino (who collaborates on the promo) account and not your Skrill/Neteller, hence certain terms will apply. That's the difference between game promos or CasinoDaddy giveaways.

Yes and the above is just my take on what Leovegas are doing. What i can take from your comment is all CG does during the collaboration is comply with their exclusion on certain countries and CG does not know the reason behind the restriction/exclusion which could be anything from their interpretation of UKGC guidelines or they just don't want to cater the UK market as it's not worth the promotional effort or anything else.

Thanks for clearing up the distinction between game promos with CasinoDaddy giveaways. Though it still doesn't really answer why Leo can't cater to UK when Pragmatic (weekly rewards for highest X win), Pokerstars (Dream race, some even daily, blackjack races) are able to.

Also please keep in mind that we cannot and do not interfere on how Casinos run their things (but on some occasions open to feedback). It's entirely up to them to disclose their reasons, same goes when I reach out to them regarding player issues that are posted here in the forum. When I reach out I merely relay the message and stress the importance of successful resolution - most of the times it will come to just that.

To further clarify the distinction - the game providers have different set of rules from Casinos, hence an alternative approach can be made. People do not deposit money on game providers but casinos and that's the difference. As to how things are run on other casinos, they are all still well within the same rules/guides set by regulators. I believe most of the time it becomes down to interpretation and evaluation.

I don't see what the issue is.

These promos add a lot of value. Who cares if someone who spends $20 can't compete with someone spending $1000 - the value still exists for the person spending $20. Every now and then someone spending $20 will get lucky, hit the winning spin,  and the added value they have participated in will be magnified. The person spending $1000 is getting the added value in that he wins the promo often and gets a chunk of his money back frequently - every now and then he will hit a big win in the game, make profit and win the promo. Good for him.

The promo is to promote the game, not give each of us some kind of entitled fair play gratitude.

The added value % exists for each person equally, just like the RTP % exists for each person equally regardless of how many spins or how much money they invest.

Even the £50 raffles add a calculatable positive expectation unless the game is absolute shite.

Everyone who takes part is benefiting vs playing the game normally whether they win a prize or not.
