Big win checks

Hi

I happened to win big on Casumo.  The withdrawal is taking some time and I've been told its because the big win requires additional checks.  I am verified and have not received any of the dreaded SOW requests probably because I am not a UK or EU player.  How long do these extra checks usually take?  Does anyone know?

Thanks.

Depends, they stalled for 3 days for me a few days ago. Didn't win that much, they just want you to cancel the withdrawal probably.

It's fine, I had £1200 pending, whilst a £300 and £500 withdrawal went though immediately 1 day later, whilst the bigger withdrawal stood pending, took 3 days for that one. Think if you withdraw in smaller chunks they go straight through. All mine were from one deposit and same balance, but the one over £1k needed extra checks.

Probably just needs higher authority to accept withdrawal before processing than the regular staff who deal with smaller values. It'll be fine though.

I won over $100,000.00 NZ dollars but have played $30,000.00 of it back (wince).  Have had $70,000.00 pending for 5 days.  Chat said it would be done asap when asked today.  I'll have to wait and see.

Hope you don't have the cancel pending withdrawal feature, You need to put a max lose on until the withdrawal is processed.

The fact you lost 30k back kind of encourages them to do things as slow as possible.

Set a wager limit and there would be little point stalling.

If you think about it, it makes business sense to stall as much as legally possible the n many cases.

Look at it with some nuance:
Smaller player/new player who wins big it would make sense to tempt with time. Someone who often deposits big or wins/loses big frequently - do everything to keep things smooth for the player - fast cash outs, no problems etc.

Not saying it is good ethically but it makes sense in this amoral world.

Yep, I kinda figured dirtystack.  I'm a small deposit player - limited myself to $200.00 per week so this win was huge.  I just went on a streak and bet bigger and bigger and then 'bam'.  It's pretty obvious they aren't going to get it back so they will stall as much as possible.  I have used the playsafe mode to put a $10.00 wager limit on my account so there is no hope of me playing it.  It's now day 7 (just) and they are still giving me platitudes  - e.g., "just be patient", "we will process this asap".  I get the feeling this could take a while which is so damn anxiety provoking because ... come on - huge amount of money right!

Thanks for the feedback and support everyone.  I don't think I will be using Casumo anymore.  As a small fish I chose them early last year to play with because they had a great reputation.  Had no idea it had gone into the toilet until now.  What a huge dive this casino has taken.

On day 7 they approved $40,000.00.  On day 8 finally approved the other $30,000.00.  Credit to them, they paid but wow did it feel like a long time.  I set a wager limit as you suggested dirtystack.  I feel relieved as that is by far and away the biggest withdrawal/win I've ever had.

It's pretty simple, they could "work harder" and process your request but they hope you cancel your withdrawal. Large wins get stalled probaly for this very reason. Best is to withdaw and lock it or if they don't provide a lock option (because they want you to cancel) suspend your account.

Everytime i won a big amount on any provider there has always been problems and ways to stall.

Thanks everyone.  I got my money and closed my account.  To be fair to Casumo, they did pay me, but the process took too long and I just don't trust them to process my withdrawals within a decent time frame anymore.  It's a pity because they were really good.
