Twenty20 Posted 1 June, 2020 Share Posted 1 June, 2020 Hello, Long time lurker here! Looking to see if anyone else is in the same boat as me or has been, and a little advice or support would go a long way! I've recently won 60k and don't feel over the moon, or happy! no emotions what so ever with the win, maybe a small glimmer of happiness? Today I deposited around 800 and turned this into 8000. I just lost the 8000 and I am absolutely raging, emotions all over the place. How come this has affected me much more than the big win? Compared to what I have won it is nothing! Time to self exclude?! Link to comment
Brian porter Posted 1 June, 2020 Share Posted 1 June, 2020 I would take a little break to be honest and just try and enjoy the money invest it or spend it on some nice things. You could easily blow 60k pretty quick. Link to comment

StallCation Posted 1 June, 2020 Share Posted 1 June, 2020 You've answered your own question @Twenty20: You don't get happy when you win, you get angry when you lose = no point in playing. As some other forum members have suggested, I'd say take a break and enjoy your winnings. Those remaining 59K could get blown in no time at all, if you catch a cold streak. You know how it feels to lose 8K, now multiply that with a 7.5. Good luck and congrats on your initial big win! Link to comment

kontempt Posted 1 June, 2020 Share Posted 1 June, 2020 Treat yourself to something nice and take a break. Put money into an ISA so it can't be touched perhaps. Just be disciplined and don't chuck it back into the casinos. That's a life changing amount of money for most. Link to comment
Guest Posted 1 June, 2020 Share Posted 1 June, 2020 Please self exclude. If you are in a relationship that you want to. Please invest there emotionally. If not. Find Link to comment
NudgeShuffle Posted 5 June, 2020 Share Posted 5 June, 2020 @Twenty20Depends how much your 60k win cost you? If it cost 59k then that's totally understandable 😄 I'll say this - big wins are great. But a big win that puts you back to starting balance after it's gone seriously south feels 10 x better. Perhaps you need to feel the pain before you can feel the joy. Link to comment
damson95 Posted 6 June, 2020 Share Posted 6 June, 2020 I once won 40.000€ in one session. Lost it all back in 4 days after But even that I see it as 50€ lost It was all or nothing, sometimes you need to risk big to win big. If I didn't risk it in the first place i would never win 40k. If you are problem gambler or have debts then that's another story Link to comment
BlackBeard Posted 6 June, 2020 Share Posted 6 June, 2020 Moving away from category for sometime is the best way to self exclude. Moving from casino to sports betting or vice versa. Link to comment
Chindits Posted 8 June, 2020 Share Posted 8 June, 2020 Don’t self exclude because that can come back to bite you down the road with casino sister sites. Block all casinos for 1 month. I find this is the perfect amount of time to total reset. I’ve been gambling for 25 years. When I win big or loose big I take at least 1 month to completely reset from it. Link to comment
