So I hardly play here anyway but I'm just here to show how sad they are...

So they want me to verifiy my account AGAIN... I was already verified with a provisional driving license and now all of a sudden they don't accept UK - provisional driving licences? is this a new UK regulation or just them being absolute twats?
I have always used the same provisional driving license and I'm 27 years old. every person/other company has always accepted it.

I was due to take my theory on 31st march but everything is cancelled however I'm not just jumping because they won't accept it, in reality its a shit casino anyway just annoying they want to play these tactics. I have no withdrawals but I do have £0.02 pence in my account which they won't even let me have without ID :D

AVOID SLOTSMILLION AT ALL COST BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE A PROVISIONAL DRIVING LICENSE AND DON'T HOLD A PASSPORT YOU WILL NOT BE PAID. 'COMPANY POLICY'................

is that really such a big deal not taking that document? In germany landbased casinos since last year they refused any drivers license - a new law required ID or Passport and nothing else.

I really dont see the problem

PS: Before i get attacked right away by someone again, i dont even promote this casino.

Nah your okay to defend them or have your say its just I don't have passport & my driving test/theory all were cancellced for 3months due to coronavirus I don't even have a pending withdrawal here it's just challenging them on rules and regulations when they say 2 different things. I haven't ever heard of a casino/workplace/anywhere refuse/reject a provisional driving license for any reason. its the first time not just for casinos but for anything...

Even their own livechat support said to me its official document Lol

Exactly thats why i mentioned The new Law in german landbased i encountered last year, maybe its something new coming around the rules of KYC for casinos, in the end we never know what new rules or dumb rules come up, its changing all the time x.x

Possibly but they contradict themselves in the chat, firstly they say its 'company policy' then they say they are following regulations/laws so the CS doesn't even know so its why I posted here to see if anyone else has had the same issue. I've used this license to gain work, verifiy banks, verfiy far more detailed than an online casino just strange.

If i learned anything in the years of extensively checking out many casinos myself and playing, its that the Customer support usually has a misinformation rate of about 50% with the information they give out 🤣 its sad but true, there is many exceptions of course not everyone is doing mistakes but damn many of them are 20 year old summer workers not having much clue, that couldve been the case here too.

What did you expect from minimum wage workers? They don't even care, it's just call center work

@ryans_slots I think you come across pretty bad in that recorded chat.

The SlotsMillion support agent is polite and was following company ID policy.

Why make such a fuss anyway with no big pending withdrawals on the line, maybe something else was bothering you?

p.s. I am no active player at SlotsMillion and I am not an affiliate

I know and at the end I apologized to them, & it isn't policy as they accepted it before and no terms have been updated, as I said before there is 2 things he said firstly its company policy and second he replied its laws and regulations. so someone will reply to me eventually.

I've actually brought this topic to their attention, got word they'll have a look and see what can be done.

seeing so many people having problems with verifying these days, and also casinos asking for proof of income, which is a disgrace imo, if any casino asks me for that proof i will just close the account, im sticking to major betting sites casinos now instead of these individual/independant casino sites

Not sure how much you gamble or whatever etc but surely if you are very active with online gambling why not just get a passport done?

pretty sure you could afford it.

I don't see the need for passport, passports are for travel? I have had passport as a child, no point paying for something I'm not going to use I don't travel worldwide just yet.

Hi @ryans_slots

Unfortunately, we cannot accept provisional driving licenses for the ID verification; this is both a measure imposed by regulatory bodies as well as a company policy. You can read this more in detail on the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/proof-of-identity-checklist/proof-of-identity-checklist#proof-of-identity-checklist-for-individuals

We understand this can be an inconvenience, especially during these uncertain times where “normality” has been disrupted and you are unable to obtain your permanent license.

Though you have been verified in the past, the verification process is an ongoing one, as stipulated in our general terms and conditions (https://www.slotsmillion.com/en/terms-and-conditions/) and we cannot breach security protocols, whether they’re ours, or external.

If you have any alternative accepted documentation you can provide us with, our customer support team will be happy to accompany you in your account verification process and help you get back to playing.

We remain at your disposal and hope everyone is safe during these times,

The SlotsMillion team

Yeah I suppose you’re right on that front. If the provisional drivers license W has been ok for everywhere else there should be no problem. So I agree with you on that one pal.

No problem as you wish, just the purpose of the post was to enlighten others who have the same ID as me without other things, I shall avoid playing here.

So the link you give me which included FULL birth cert I uploaded as official doc and it was rejected....?

How on earth is a birth certificate which contains no photograph or current address details valid ID? over a provisional licence which cannot be obtained unless you go through government verification, it’s a f*cking legal identification, in terms of identification it is no different than a full driving licence, one allows you to drive on your own cos you passed your damn test, the other signifies you are still learning to drive. Regulators have enforced this? what a load of bollocks, actually makes no sense, don’t play at that site mate, not worth the time

The casinos don’t want to be asking for proof of income - it drives a great deal of custom away and costs a lot of resources to manage.

They do it because the regulatory bodies make them do it as part of responsible gaming legislation, money laundering legislation and terrorist financing.

Casinos as a stand-alone business don’t inherently care whether you are gambling responsibly or where you get your money from and would rather not have to invasively get this information from you. They have too do it or else they get massive fines and sometimes shut down by the regulatory bodies.
