Top tipster competition 

 

Hello everyone top tipster competition is back and will be bigger than ever before (I hope). Everyone is welcome to join in even if you have not joined in before. The first week of the competition is 16th March and will run for 5 weeks every Saturday. 

 

Rules. 

 

Every week on Thursday I will post 4 races on casino grounds sports betting forum. All you have to do is make one selection in each race please put the number of your horse and name. You have to get your selections before 12.30 on the Saturday as the forum thread will be locked. Non runner horses will go on to the favourite if there are joint favourites it will be the one with the lowest number. The aim is to get as many points as possible to become that weeks top tipster. The season will last 5 weeks. The person with the most points will win a cash prize of £100. In case of a tie at the top it will come down to who has the most weekly wins if that is a tie will be the most winners picked over the 5  weeks. 

 

How the points work

 

Any winner gets 10 points ( plus odds bonus points)

Second 5 points ( plus odds bonus points)

Third 3 points ( plus odds bonus points)

Fourth when paying 4 places 2 points (plus odds bonus points)

 

Bonus odds points 

For winners that are 4/1 and less bonus odds points will be 3 points. 

For winners at 5/1 bonus odds points will be 5 and so on. So 10/1 winners gets you 10 points for the win and 10 points for the bonus odds points. (So 20 points)

25/1 winner gets you 35 points overall. 

 

Second / third / fourth bonus odds points 

So 5/1 will be divided by 4 and takes to the nearest whole number so will be 1 bonus odds points. ( 6 points overall)

20/1 second gets you 5 bonus odds points plus 5 for second so 10 overall. 

Horses placed at the odds of 4/1 and under get 1 point 

There will also be a £50 bonus prize if you manage to win 3 top tipster weeks in a row. Stevie from you tube managed 2 weeks and as he does not speak of it much it would be great for someone to beat him. 

 

There will be league table posted each week with (tt1) next to your name if you have won a top tipster week

Also please feel free to give me feedback on how it can be improved one option is each week you get to pick one horse for your tip of the day and points counts double on that horse.

Shame this wasn't running through the Cheltenham festival which starts on Tuesday until Friday. Is it possible to arrange one for that?
