Horrendous Fees On Deposits

Hi,

So I've had a look at my bank statements for December. The new 3rd party payment providers the casinos use for Norwegian players (and possibly others) are adding fees up to 10% of the deposit amount! Have a look at your bank statements and go complain to your casinos about this!

I play for 10,000-30,000 euro a year, so just these charges will cost me 1000-3000 euro a year! I've complained to Casumo and NYSpins about it. Go to your casinos and complain about this, and help get the fees removed! We already pay 1.95% fees for international transactions (applied by the banks), then we have to pay fees up to 10% to these payment providers as well, that's bullshit.

These are 100 euro, 150 euro and 200 euro deposits. As you can see, the amount taken by the 3rd party ranges from 3,81% to 6,925% on these deposits. On top of that, the Valutakurs (Exchange rate) has a 1.95% fee baked into the exchange rate as a fee by my own bank. This 1.95% fee happens for everyone who uses Visa.
But the original deposit amount should not be more than the amount you deposit. So I encourage everyone to check up on this if you haven't done so already!
keep in mind some sites have a 2.5% deposit fee! But that doesnt mean they can take 4, 7 or 10%. Only the 2.5% they made you aware of.

Yeah, I just want the casinos to get rid of the charges. They make enough money off of us without the charges. And I can't be fucked going to a shop to get a paysafecard when I'm gonna play somewhere.

That's crazy, when I played at highroller it was around 5% total (can't recall if it was each way) with trustly. A good option could be to use E-wallets at casinos that accept them

The problem is that Norwegian players can't use E-wallets either. Skrill and Neteller have functions that block Norwegians from using the funds they have in their E-wallets to casino sites.

They should just do what Sweden has done and regulate it in my opinion (but think it through a bit better than we did in some cases)

Not true, but when deposit to neteller/skrill you have to enable that the Money will be used for online gambling to be able to transfer to casinos, and this is where the Norwegian banks blocks the deposit. But, if you use bank transfer (rapid bank transfer) this Works fine. I think its a 2 or 2.5% fee, but still better than using VISA etc.

Hi hi hello CasinoGrounders,

We are working on a solution to minimise the impact of these fees however we will not be able to completely eliminate them any time soon. Please understand that these fees are beyond our control and are not charged by Casumo but by banks and other 3 party providers. We take every possible measure to keep the negative impact on our players side as low as possible.

Skrill not long ago applied a 1%fee for instant/rapid deposits in norway, however this works fine. Another solution is paysafe card. Theese are bought at cirkel k , 7/11 and some groceryshops like Kiwi. Best value i find at kiwi since they dont add anything to the price of the card( 1000 nok cost 1000 nok) circkel k add 10 kr nok for the same card.  Another trick is( but only if u have full controll) is to pay for ur paysafecard with american express card bound to ur sas bonus program and same time using trunf bonusprogram( amex accepted at kiwi and the rest of norgesgruppen), this gives u a lot of eurobonus points( trumf when converted to eurobonus) and it makes u hit the yearly min 100k nok transaction reqirement on amex for a companionticket.

Basically its no problem if ur a highroller to get several trips to vegas for only passengerfees with sas if u use the metode described above, however it can be discussed if the trip is free after the gamblingloss though :)

and to all casinos that even thinking of applying a fee for depositing money should really reconsider, long run they loose out players that roll a dime or two, i mean some even have 5% fee lol!  have they even done the math what that does to the overall picture of the return to a player in the long run
