Self-exclusion

Hi guys,

Hate myself for having to write this but hey here we go. I’m a 110% degenerate gambler and I've choosed to close all my casino accounts due to gambling problems. Yesterday I was in a weak state of mind and…yeah.. long story short – how great/slim are the chances of getting deposits back when u self-excluded at one casino under the same license (Both UK and MGA) and still been able to sign up at a sister casino which all ended, BIG SURPRISE, with me sitting there all pale faced because I lost A LOT of monies that I really can’t afford losing? FYI I used the same details and deposit method when signing up at these casinos and the casinos I played at are listed in casinogrounds bonus section.

Which Casino did you signup to?

I always tell support that the reason for why I need my account to be closed is my gambling problem. Curious question: why should that even be of any importance? If u choose to self-exclude isn't that carried out on all of the sites by the same operator? (in my case Suprplay Ltd)  I´ve read tons of stories when gamblers have had their winnings forfeited due to previous self-exclusions.

There are several factors dictating this but the main one is below.

When you say "sister site" you need to check if they are under the same licence. If they are not then the exclusion will not apply.

Sorry to hear this - Unfortunately a self-exclusion is only for one brand when it comes to MGA. As Supersmask recommended, head over to spelpaus now to exclude yourself across all gambling sites. It is obviously your own decision but I think you'd do the right thing in also getting in touch with stödlinjen.

I'm starting to wonder if that's what the issue is even in the UK. Are they applying MGA rules to the UK? Slotty Vegas/Betat are denying numerous refunds to excluded players on a "technicality". I believe this is because they changed operator name from NRR to Max Ent. Seems to be a few cases now sent to UKGC so will be interesting to see how that works out.

I take it the accounts you signed up for were UK or were they not?

Where are you based because there are different rules for different countries. If you're based in the UK, then go to Gamstop now and put yourself on their database. It will stop you playing at all online casinos with a UK license.

Hmmm. Don't think Gamstop is as foolproof as it should be. Great tool of course but needs some tweaking and once the UKGC get involved with it in 5 months it should improve.
